Hi Guys!

Some time past since my last update – for good reasons. It’s been quite unclear, if I could continue with my project. I had to rethink the whole thing and came to the point, that I have to reduce my demands on realism, to create progress and to avoid loosing myself in details. The main target is now to get the Sim flyable again very soon.

Temporary, the Sim had to move into my garage for some time and I disassembled the Cockpit floor-construction. It needs to be reworked anyway and in the meantime, I layed some laminate on the floor, to have an even ground for later steps.

Currently, I can present at least one good shot of the current status of my Cockpit!

Steps that are already in process:

  • Setting up a functional visual! You will have another post regardings this within the next weeks
  • Assembling the Parking-Brake Mechanism and Panel

Stay tuned – and thank you very much for your visit!

Hello Diogo, thank you very much for your comment. Unfortunately I haven’t used the bodyshakers until now. My floor construction is currently under rework.
Look here for the original floor colour: https://soarbywire.com/2018/10/28/floor-panels/
An idea for the MCDU could be this one: https://upwithoutwings.com/2019/10/24/a-cheap-mcdu/
Measures for the Main Stand are a very individual thing, as it has to fit with the panels and components you are planning to use. I’m planning to write a post on sources for measures in general soon.

First many thanks for your reply. And once again congratulations for the great forum!

I will first Try to install the bumpers in the chairs to see the effect ;).
Regarding the measurements I will patiently wait for your post.
If you can add some sketch’s with some sizes (oriented dimensions) is going to be fantastic :).
